Designing Professional Grade Tableware
Launched in 2004, Luzerne Pte Ltd is a sister company of Hiap Huat Holdings (the most established tableware company in Singapore founded in 1947). It is a family-owned enterprise managed by 2nd and 3rd generation of leaders and supported by a highly skilled, well-trained and committed team of professionals sharing the same values as the co-founders.
Luzerne factory in Dehua is the first Halal-certified company in the world and the first manufacturer in Singapore to develop its own unique-line of tableware products.
In just a short span of time, Luzerne has become a well-reputed international brand with footprints in over 50 countries. Supported by 800 employees, Luzerne has five global offices in the United Kingdom (London), China (Shanghai, Xiamen and Dehua) and headquarters in Singapore. In Dehua, the World Ceramics Capital named by World Crafts Council (WCC), Luzerne operates a fully automated factory where it originally creates and designs professional grade tableware for its extensive network of customers.

Opportunity to Regroup and Streamline Businesses
Success doesn’t happen overnight. This saying definitely holds true for Hiap Huat Holdings who set the stage right to where Luzerne is today.
Hiap Huat Holdings, formerly known as Hiap Huat Pottery in 1947 was a sole distributor of 60 brands. When the economic recession hit Southeast Asia in 1997, many suffered badly from the impact of the financial crisis back then. Hiap Huat Pottery, however, saw this as an opportunity to recover across sectors.
With key decisions to regroup and streamline businesses, the company decided to shift its focus and venture into manufacturing. In 1973, Hiap Huat Pottery was then restructured into Hiap Huat Holdings incorporating manufacturing, distribution, trading and property sectors as part of the organization.
Achieving Greater Milestones
Under the lead and drive of Mr Steven Lek, son of the late founder, Lek Song Cheng, Luzerne continued to strive to its desired outcome today. As an exemplary businessman who often gets recognition by the Singapore government for his pioneering success and great leadership, the company went on to achieving greater milestones.
Yet another visionary leader with strong managerial qualities, Mr Peter Lek has innate abilities to perceive challenges and recognize opportunities which have truly contributed to the success the company enjoys today.
Responsible for the global market expansion, Ms Leona Lek, a 3rd generation leader, takes charge and setup all international sales operations in Asia Pacific region (excluding China), North America and Middle East. Started in 2008, she brings with her a wealth of international sales experience for leading the development of sales of Luzerne products to leading hotels and markets.
Last but not least, Ms Elaine Lek, another 3rd generation leader, the head of Global Brand oversees the group’s strategic planning and marketing, bringing the company to a global platform with over 30 years of professional experience including holding senior positions in public listed companies.
